Efficient Utilization of Carbon-Bearing Dusts in Composite Agglomeration Process for Iron Ore Sintering

This study focused on improving recycling of carbon-bearing dusts from integrated steel plants by the composite agglomeration process (CAP), in which four types were prepared as pelletized feed, while other raw materials used matrix feed for sintering to produce product a substitute traditional iron ore sinter. It was found that carbon distribution and segregation burden layer strongly affected process. When total content feeds 3.22 wt%, proper ratio 1.65–2.48. At this moment, optimizing contained 6.64 wt% (named DP-4) would improve quality indexes with higher utilization efficiency, i.e., lower consumption.
